06. AGE REQUIREMENTS

 

The 17th AMAC is open to all men and women born on or before 2nd November 1977 who are fit for competition. Athletes will be classified by 5 year age group from 35 plus for both men and women. Misleading information on age during entry procedure shall be grounds for disqualification.

08. RULES

 

The 17th AMAC will be conducted in accordance with the technical rules of IAAF, except as modified by the Rules of Competition of AMA/WMA.

 

09. DATES OF ENTRY

 

From 1st July 2012 to 2nd August 2012 (the postmark of the organizing committee country rules).

 

10. LATE ENTRIES

 

A late entry is required for entries post August 31st 2012. No entries will be accepted later than 17th August 2012 (the postmark of the organizing committee country rules).

 

11. OVERSEAS ENTRIES

 

All entries of countries affiliated to Asia Masters Athletics (AMA) shall have their entries validated and submitted by forwarding them together with a photocopy of their passport, reflecting their date of birth, to the respective National Governing Body. The entries must include the correct entry fee. Entries will not be accepted without full payment. Entry fee once paid will not eligible for refund. 1. Entrants both male and female must be 35 years or above by 2nd November 2012.
2. Entries are only open to all AMA affiliates. Entries to 17th AMAC shall be submitted through their national AMA affiliates. No individual entries will be accepted.
3. Only entries with correct amount of entry fee on or before the closing date will be accepted.
4. The AMA and 17th AMAC Organizing Committee reserve the right to refuse entries.

The Application package should include the following: completed Competition Entry Forms (may be photocopied if needed), Official Document to prove date of birth (eg. copy of passport) and Receipts of entry fee remittance. The National Governing Body shall forward entries after validating the entries by affixing offical stamp and send the original entry forms by mail/courier to 17th AMAC. (Add: No.10, Sec. 4, Nanjing E. Rd., Songshan Dist., Taipei City 105, Taiwan (R.O.C.)) There will be no changing or adding of event or competitor once the application procedure is completed.
7. Issue of Receipt: Following acceptance of application package and entry fee, The 17th AMAC OC will issue a receipt of acceptance to applied affiliates. This receipt must be brought to the EVENT RECEPTION to exchang for Athlete’s Chest Number.

 

12. ENTRY FEE

1. Entry fee is non-refundable
2. An athlete can participate in a maximum of 4 individual events

3. A free banquet is provided for all participating athletes as a courtesy of Taipei City Government. Any accompanying person who wishes to join the banquet need to pay USD25 due by 17th August 2012.
4. A relay team may mix age group and compete in the lowest age group. A relay team must consist of members of the same country. A relay athlete competing in a lower age group for one relay team remains assigned to the same lower group for all relays. Entry of relay event and the payment must be submitted along with application package no later than August 2nd ,2012 (or August 17th, 2012 with a late entry fee). Each affiliate may enter only team in each relay. They list of relay team members can be submitted to the Competition Director no later than 12:00 noon the day before the relay event.

 

13. BANK ACCOUNT

 

The entry fee should be remitted not later than 2nd August 2012 (late entry should be no later than 17th August 2012 with a late entry fee applied) by the National Governing Body to the following Account.

14. PRIZES

 

The 1st to 3rd winner (men and women) will be awarded a medal and a certificate of award respectively. And a certificate of award will be awarded for 4th place to 6th place.

 

15. MEDICAL CEREMONIES

 

The competition director shall appoint individual(s) to coordinate the presentation of medals. The competition events shall be given precedence over the medal ceremonies.

 

16. UNIFORM

 

In AMAC, all competitors must wear a uniform that is approved by their national master’s body.

 

17. TEAM MANAGERS MEETING & TECHNICAL MEETING

 

Managers meeting will be held at 10:00 am on 2nd November 2012, at Taipei Stadium. Only two members from each country will be allowed to attend the meeting. Technical meeting will be held at 09:00 am each competition day at Taipei Stadium.

 

18. FINAL CONFIRMATION

 

Final confirmation of participants shall be submitted to the Competition Director by 9.00 am the previous day, except for day 1 events for which confirmation lists shall be submitted during the Managers Meeting.

 

19. MEDICAL TREATMENT

 

During the Championships, a Medical Center will be set up at the competition site. Only First Aid will be provided by the organizing committee. Any additional medical expense is to be borne by the participant.
